장비를 사용하기 위해서는 영국 FTT사 Dual Cone Calorimeter를 소유하고 있어야 한다. IEC 60332-3으로부터 열방출율을 측정하여 ISO 9705 Room/Corner test나 SBI를 사용할 수 있다. 또 다른 한편으로도 IEC Gas Analysis rack을 구입하면 다른 calorimetry장비를 사용할 수 있다. (e.g. FTT Dual Cone Calorimeter etc.)
Smoke Measurement Systems
standard에 허용되는 smoke 측정장치를 위하여 laser나 white light 둘 중 하나가 공급된다. laser system은 cone calorimeter와 기존의 standard에서 noise 감소 특징이 포함된 ISO 5660을 따른다. white light system는 SBI test 사용과 비슷하며 구조는 DIN 50055와 비슷하다.

European Commission와 European Cable Industry(EUROPACABLE)는 Construction Products Directive(CPD)하에 유럽을 전역의 전력cable을 평가하기 위하여 표준 분류(법)를 완성하고 있다. 분류 사업의 결과는 전통적인 IEC 60332-3 실험기기에 열방출과 연기방출 측정 장치를 설치함으로써 얻어진다. 열방출은 연소과정에서 carbon dioxide의 발생과 oxygen의 소비를 계속적으로 측정함으로써 계산되어진다. 새로운 테스트 규약의 기본은 SP(Sweden), ISSeP(Belgium), CESI(Italy),EC에서 지원한 FIPEC project의 일부분으로써의 Interscience(UK)들의 동료들과 함께 FTT의 Andrew Green이 발전시켰다. 이 계획은 FTT대표인 Stephen Grayson이 만들어졌다.
